DESCRIPTION:The Vermont Granite Museum presents its Granite Lecture and Film Series. Every Thursday evening at 6pm through the end of October\, folks can listen to historians or granite sculptors share their stories or watch remastered films dating from the 1920s to 2020s taken in Vermont’s granite quarries\, sheds\, and throughout Vermont’s “granite” towns. Produced by the BGA\, “Symbols to Live By” (1956) follows a family discovering the importance of what memorials represent to the living. The Rock of Ages Corporation’s TV commercials on the Today Show with Dave Garroway (1958 and 1959) will also be shown. \n
