Pictured below the new Vermont Granite Museum sign! A huge thank you shout out to several of our local companies that donated their time, equipment, and effort that made this all possible!
Thank you to:
Mayor Tom Lauzon for donating the beautiful Dark Barre Gray 28 ton granite block,
Bellavance Trucking for transporting the block,
Hutch Crane for setting the sign on the rail car and their devotion to this project,
Granite Industries of Vermont for sawing the face of the block,
Rock of Ages for drafting this design and providing the stencil,
John Pelkey, Owner of Mobile Sandblast, for his many hours of hard work sandblasting the sign,
Miles Supply, Inc., for donating the sand,
and Chris Miller for creating this unique design!
It takes a community to work together for the betterment of Barre.
