Every year, the Vermont Granite Museum partners with students and volunteers of all ages to conduct new research focused on Vermont’s granite industry. Executive Director Scott McLaughlin will present this year’s newest discoveries on a wide range of fascinating topics, including women and African-Americans in Vermont’s granite industry and silicosis and the use of PPE. Scott will also discuss new findings illuminating the relationship between Vermont’s granite manufacturers and memorial dealers in New York City and the granite industry-related patents that were held by Vermonters.
